WHITING, WI (WSAU) — A female body has been recovered in the Wisconsin River near Whiting.
The Point/Plover Metro Wire reports that officers were called to an area near the 1800 block of Sherman Avenue Friday morning for a report of a body.
No specifics about the incident have been given, but the report was made by workers at one of the assisted living facilities in the area.
Details about the woman have not been released, but officers don’t believe the death is suspicious. It’s also unclear if she may have accidentally gone into the water, or gone in on her own.
