MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Jrue Holiday of the Milwaukee Bucks was awarded the 2022–23 Twyman–Stokes NBA Teammate of the Year on Thursday.
Holiday is now the only three-time Twyman-Stokes winner in league history, and is the only player to have received the honor twice. He has now won it twice in the last two years and three times in the last four.
Jack Twyman and Maurice Stokes, who were teammates on the Rochester/Cincinnati Royals in the 1950s, are recognized by this award, which was established for the 2012–13 season.
Six players from each conference are nominated by NBA executives for the award, and players then vote for their favorite from the total of 12 nominees. In recognition of Holiday’s win, the NBA will donate $25,000 to the charity of his choice.
